They say that variety is the spice of life, and here at g.moxie we tend to agree. Whether you’re looking for a quick pick-me-up, a savory taste-test, or perusing fresh produce, there is no doubt that Milwaukee can provide that and more this week.

Milwaukee Winter Farmer’s Market / Nov. 5 / 9 AM – 1 PM / Greenhouse Annex at the Mitchell Park Domes
The place for all your fresh food and produce needs.
We generally see summer as the season of farmer’s markets, but did you know Milwaukee has a winter farmer’s market too? Entering its eighth season, this market has so much to offer. Discover the variety of what your garden can no longer provide as you wander through the Greenhouse Annex of the Mitchell Park Domes this Saturday. Satisfy your senses and make your purchases of fresh meat, dairy, produce, and more. The best part about the market? We would have to say it’s the feeling of happiness which comes from supporting your local farmers. Whether you’re looking for savory or sweet, there is no doubt you’ll be able to find something that lives up to your expectations. If you can’t make it this Saturday, don’t worry about it! The market will be running nearly every Saturday until April 8th.
Get a boost of energy and knowledge.
Have you been wanting to learn more about coffee? Pendulum Coffee has an awesome time scheduled for you this weekend. Hike out to the Urban Ecology Center - Riverside Park this Saturday to experience what all the buzz (a caffeine buzz, to be precise) is about. Invite your favorite coffee lover to take part in classes, tastings, and more. Sponsors from all around Milwaukee will be there to guide you through an exciting learning experience, for your taste buds and your brain. Also, the Urban Ecology Center is just plain awesome, and the forecast is looking very sunny, so don’t be afraid to go and take in some scenery while you’re in the area! We hope you learn a-latte!
The place to try amazing delicacies.
The word “savor” is defined by Merriam-Webster as “the quality that makes something interesting or enjoyable” – so what better way to take in the great tastes of Milwaukee than to visit the ever-so-appropriately named Savor Milwaukee, the continuation and rebranding of “Wine and Dine Wisconsin.” This weekend will be full of so many different flavor profiles, your head will spin. Cheese? Check. Wine? Yes, please. Cooking classes from top chefs? Of course! With food and libations from over 40 different restaurants, breweries, and distilleries in the Milwaukee area, your inner foodie will be the happiest it’s been in a long time. We absolutely love the different and creative culinary creations that Milwaukee has to offer. Admission is $50 Saturday (or $85 for the Critic’s Choice experience) and $40 Sunday. This will be a great place to gain a deeper understanding and appreciation of the city’s food scene.
Lastly, it’s the first Friday of November this week (wait, it’s November already?), which means the Milwaukee Art Museum has free admission all day. Also, Family Free Day is happening on Saturday at the Milwaukee County Zoo. Don’t miss out – take advantage of these awesome free days!
