Although the weather would tell you a different story these past few days, spring is headed our way. Events throughout Milwaukee are starting to ramp up. We have highlighted a few fun things to check out this weekend below:
Brewers Spring Training
Although the Brewers aren’t technically in Milwaukee, but off in the sunny state of Arizona, their first spring training game is today against the Chicago Cubs. Is there any more clear sign that spring is upon us than hearing the beloved Bob Uecker call games from Maryville?
Milwaukee Journal Sentinel Sports Show
The annual Milwaukee Journal Sentinel Sports show is currently underway at the Wisconsin State Fair Park Expo Center. If you are looking to prepare for any upcoming hunting, fishing and outdoor adventures, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel Sports Show has a long list of exhibitors and events that will surely put you in the mood for the snow to melt so you can step outside and explore!
Taste & Toast
The Milwaukee food scene more your thing? Taste & Toast 2016 runs through Friday, March 4. 30 select restaurants throughout Downtown are offering great deals on food and drinks between 4pm and 7pm each night to give patrons a sampling of what they have to offer. This is a great opportunity to try out that restaurant you’ve been dying to go to.
Discovery World is hosting the Maker Market on Saturday, March 5. Crafters from around the area will be there to sell their handmade goods, ranging from soy candles to clothing and jewelry. Stop by to promote local artisans at this one-of-a kind event.
